GRADER SHADOW LOG — S4i (pre-seating; void-or-confirmed wholesale at the author’s seating decision)
Version: 1.0 · Status: SHADOW-GRADED PRE-SEATING (S4i standing delegation, C-032) — RUN COMPLETE (10 gradings, 85 objections; held-out context-isolated instances per the v0.2 protocol AS WRITTEN, each grading receiving only the artifact + the ground rules + the frozen severity guide). Every entry binds nothing, escalates nowhere beyond this record, and feeds no instrument; the whole log is void-or-confirmed WHOLESALE at the author’s seating decision (SESSION_S4I_RATIFICATION.md §1 item 5). Citable status: “shadow-reviewed, author confirmation outstanding” — nothing here is a restored check. Severities are the guide’s 1/3/9 as ADVISORY-INTERNAL weights; no output carries the word “anchored.” The chair answered every objection on the record below (accept-enacted / accept-queued / rebutted / escalated); the raw gradings live in the session transcript. · Protocol: GRADER_DESIGN_DRAFT.md v0.2 · Candidate amendments: GRADER_DESIGN_CANDIDATE_V03_S4I.md · Last updated: Session 4i (Code)
The queue: the S4h-enacted corpus + the S4i enactments. The shadow-authorization record itself (item 5) was EXCLUDED: no instrument adjudicates its own installation. The unitization-instrument design (built later this session) receives its own grading entry (SG-11) when assembled.
ESCALATION-GRADE ITEMS — the top of the author’s return docket
- [SG-02 OBJ-1, sev 9] The lag-type instrument is directionally loaded against D3 (the obstruction discriminator defaults to “capacity” while obstruction is under-documented by construction, and the annotation’s scope excludes D3→S3 — the strongest crux channel). The chair cannot repair this under delegation without re-designing a ratified instrument in the direction that favors a rival theory; escalated whole. Interim guard enacted: none (the §8 label-only / not-yet-codable status already bars any coding); the author should rule before any inter-coder trial.
- [SG-05 OBJ-3, sev 3 but load-bearing] The clock’s discharge currency (“non-blank Cost”) is the one unanchored self-assessed construct left deciding a standing null. A motivated logger could discharge the compounding null with a well-written Cost cell. Pre-registering Cost receipts (the bite-event form) or routing discharge-qualifying claims through the external channel is the author’s to seal — escalated beside the filter redesign.
- [SG-03 OBJ-2] R24’s entrenchment protects POINTERS, not contents — the never-prune list’s members remain re-wordable under delegation (hollow-the-shell attack). Extending entrenchment to the referents’ substantive wording is a constitutional act — escalated.
- [SG-04 OBJ-2] C-028 as “D-007’s first bite” is arguably misattributed (a Rule-11 definitional catch, same-session, self-certified — booking it as the governor’s bite is adjacent to the manufactured-bite move the entry itself forbids). Reclassification would zero D-007’s bite count — escalated (the record is not edited in either direction under delegation).
- [SG-01 OBJ-2/3/5, SG-08 OBJ-4] The episode unit’s clock stop-events smuggle hindsight; the chained clocks are blind to out-of-order stages (the quiet-register shape); the sampling frame is a description, not a frame; and the detection repair’s commitment-anchored-only rule excludes the uncommitted silence. All four are freeze-decision inputs — escalated to travel WITH the criteria red-team returns (
studies/episode-unit/SEALED_COMPANION_CRITERIA_REDTEAM.md). - [SG-03 OBJ-8/OBJ-10] The constitution lacks its own 17b note, and the provisional window’s unwind semantics (what reversal unwinds; when delegated changes begin to bind) are undefined — the author’s, with the R22-24/17b ratifications.
- [SG-07 OBJ-6 residual] The C-031 menu remains a two-door choice drafted by outcome-aware hands even after the third door was added to the candidate’s face — the author should treat the whole candidate as advisory input to HIS margin decision, not as a ballot.
- [SG-10 OBJ-3] The mechanical face-vs-record reconciliation sweep (C-033’s general repair) is queued but unanchored — no script exists yet; flagged for the next session’s work-order so it does not become the C-012 pattern.
Per-item dispositions (every objection answered)
SG-01 — docs/EPISODE_UNIT.md (11 objections)
- OBJ-1 (title performs “pre-registered”) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: retitled “the case-coding unit (DRAFT criteria; nothing coded; the freeze is the author’s)”. The body’s “pinned/hash-frozen” register and the byline question are queued for the author with the freeze (partial-accept: sweeping every frozen-register word in an enacted doc under delegation risks over-editing canon; the most-cited line is fixed).
- OBJ-2 (clock stop-events smuggle hindsight) — ESCALATED (freeze input; also independently attackable by the red-team kit’s ATTACK-3).
- OBJ-3 (chained clocks blind to out-of-order stages) — ESCALATED (freeze input; the §3 fork’s scope question).
- OBJ-4 (“ZERO empirical claims” vs the §5 rows) — ACCEPT-ENACTED (minimal): a signed drafting-hand-impressions sentence added above the candidates table. The header’s “ZERO” wording left for the author (it quotes the S4h enactment).
- OBJ-5 (frame is not a frame) — ESCALATED (freeze input; the red-team’s ATTACK-6 covers it).
- OBJ-6 (the fork’s tine asymmetry — option (ii) never steelmanned) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the author’s fork decision should receive option (ii)'s steelman; queued as a one-paragraph addition the author may commission — not drafted under delegation (drafting the steelman now would be the panel re-tilting the fork it tilted).
- OBJ-7 (six “binding” markers with no agreement-strength) — REBUT-IN-PART, ACCEPT-IN-PART: the vote shapes exist in
SESSION_S4H_RATIFICATION.md§1 B1/B6 and the doc cites it; a full provenance table is real work queued for the author-present pass. The objection’s point that the doc travels standalone is taken — covered partially by the Rule-16 footer fix (OBJ-8). - OBJ-8 (unframed persona attributions) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the Rule-16 framing sentence added to the footer.
- OBJ-9 (two-dossier discipline undefined in-document) — ACCEPT-QUEUED for the freeze edit (one-sentence inline definition; not urgent while nothing is codable).
- OBJ-10 (hash claim unverifiable) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (paste the hashes or strike the clause at the freeze).
- OBJ-11 (gate precedence) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (one sentence at the freeze: gate 3 precedes gate 1; conclusion-voiding red-team findings suspend confirmation until addressed or overridden on the record).
SG-02 — docs/PRESSURE_TESTS_CAUSAL_HYPOTHESIS.md (8 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, D3-directional asymmetry) — ESCALATED (item 1 above).
- OBJ-2 (sev 9, “canonical” pre-spends ratification) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: §9’s ladder line re-worded to “governing … panel-confirmed under delegation, the author’s ratification outstanding.”
- OBJ-3 (primary-type tie-break floor gates the wrong quantity) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the pre-registered floor must apply to PRIMARY-selection agreement specifically; queued for the inter-coder trial’s pre-registration (nothing is codable until then, so no live risk).
- OBJ-4 (D2→Y1 rung-merge in the inaugural table; the flattery guard’s vacuity) — ESCALATED: editing rung labels in the session that HELD rung-labeling would be incoherent; the label question goes to the author with the B4 pass; the guard’s respecification (per-edge, not total-elevation) queued with it.
- OBJ-5 (“N ≈ dozens” as a stated N; test-status scope undefined) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (author-present pass, same docket).
- OBJ-6 (“codable” means opposite things in §8 and §9) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (terminology split: “loggable catch category” vs “codable episode annotation”; author-present pass).
- OBJ-7 (§8’s present-tense codability contradiction) — ACCEPT-QUEUED with OBJ-5/6 (one wording pass, one docket item).
- OBJ-8 (normative’s rung-position teaches inferiority) — ESCALATED (a structural ladder redesign is the author’s; Le Guin’s gloss stands meanwhile).
SG-03 — docs/GROUND_RULES.md (10 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, “now true rather than over-claimed”) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: re-worded to “becomes true upon the author’s ratification; until then a self-enforced provisional commitment.”
- OBJ-2 (pointers-not-contents) — ESCALATED (item 3 above).
- OBJ-3 (header omits 17b) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: 17b added to the outstanding-ratification list.
- OBJ-4 (the entrenchment’s weak scrutiny provenance) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: noted for the author beside the R24 ratification (the record already books the co-ownership shape; the objection’s sharpening — that the adversary’s clause had NO owning lens — travels in this log).
- OBJ-5 (“standing governors” as an expandable never-prune class) — ESCALATED (constitutional definition; the author’s).
- OBJ-6 (17b’s denominator gameable via register classification) — ACCEPT-QUEUED for the author with 17b’s ratification (a “who judges prescriptive” clause).
- OBJ-7 (17b ships the checkbox it warns against; no catch-trigger) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (same docket: name the judge, make boilerplate loggable).
- OBJ-8 (the constitution owes itself a 17b note) — ESCALATED (item 6 above; a constitution self-applying its newest rule is the author’s call).
- OBJ-9 (C2’s losing plurality never steelmanned; C-028 booked only as a win) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the plurality’s strongest case now travels in this log (see SG-04 OBJ-1’s steelman answer); the author may order it into the record.
- OBJ-10 (unwind semantics undefined) — ESCALATED (item 6 above).
SG-04 — logs/OPEN_QUESTIONS.md, the D-007 entry (7 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, “ratified-as-split” ships the C-028 class) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: header and Q-001 entry re-worded to “panel-confirmed-as-split,” “panel-confirmed unconditionally (the author’s ratification outstanding),” with the correction noted in place. (The steelman the grader demanded is recorded: A3 adopted “ratified-as-split” as a term of art; the chair accepts C-028’s own reasoning that the qualifier does not cure the performance — the term was corrected, not defended.)
- OBJ-2 (first-bite misattribution) — ESCALATED (item 4 above).
- OBJ-3 (the teeth enact the scaffold side while the split claims to stay open) — ACCEPT-QUEUED for the author (a vestment-side instrument — e.g., a register audit — would need commissioning; the entry’s own text already names the asymmetry).
- OBJ-4 (the governor’s death is undetectable as specified) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (pre-registering a reader-side discriminator for the opening belongs with the repo-open checklist; queued there).
- OBJ-5 (Rung-0 flag procedure undefined) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (a one-paragraph definition — who applies it, what follows — queued for the author-present pass; the flag’s uses to date are all in-house text-bars, so no live ambiguity yet).
- OBJ-6 (traceability fails on its own credentials) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-IN-PART: file-path pointers are present in most citations; the “cited for exactly what it showed” self-assurance phrase is left (rebut: it is a scope-limiter, not a credential — but the objection travels here for the author’s eye).
- OBJ-7 (no agreement-strength on the installation) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (B3’s stance row exists in the S4h record; a pointer suffices; queued for the author-present pass).
SG-05 — logs/DECISIONS_CHANGED.md §§4–5.1 (9 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, the clock’s S4i reading missing) — ACCEPT, ANSWERED BY SCHEDULE: the second reading posts at S4i close per the pinned letter (the session was open when the grading ran; the posting is task-scheduled and will appear in §5.1 before the wrap commit). The sharper point — that “real substantive session” needed no interpretation only because this session self-evidently qualifies — is conceded and travels to the author with the letter.
- OBJ-2 (§4 wears “armed” while doubly untestable) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the header now reads “armed in intent, currently untestable as posed on its noise guard pending the C-031 re-seal, with all firing codings additionally gated on the detection repair.”
- OBJ-3 (Cost unanchored) — ESCALATED (item 2 above).
- OBJ-4 (the 1.45× corridor exemplar’s currency) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the currency-status flag now travels with the exemplar in §4.
- OBJ-5 (lens-count as scrutiny-count in §5.1’s D2 intro) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the phrasing predates S4i (S4h enactment); re-wording a ruled entry’s intro under delegation is held for the author; the objection travels here and the L-015 rule already governs citations.
- OBJ-6 (Entry-3’s retire line files coding-debt as design) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the channel decomposition now separates the design gate from the repairable instrument blockage.
- OBJ-7 (stale status block) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: header reconciled to v1.3 with the reconciliation noted.
- OBJ-8 (“eight incompatible derivations” without receipt) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-POINTER: the derivations are the eight lens returns in the session transcript, indexed from
SESSION_S4I_RATIFICATION.md§1 item 6; the posting’s wording already cites the session record. - OBJ-9 (the sentinel’s bar ambiguous on panel-drafted/author-sealed) — ACCEPT-QUEUED for the author with the filter redesign: the intended predicate is SEALING-AUTHORITY (a filter the author seals is not “panel-redesigned” in the bar’s sense; the bar bars filters that never pass through the author’s non-delegated act) — recorded here as the drafting intent, for the author to confirm or re-letter.
SG-06 — the case-D hand-off (9 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, “pre-registered” false credential) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: Reading A’s class re-worded (registered-forward, origin disclosed).
- OBJ-2 (§0 provenance) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the blockquote split into restated-state + new-S4i-constraint, with the green result’s actual terminal words quoted.
- OBJ-3 (anti-gerrymander test unspecified; ledger-empty parking) — ACCEPT-QUEUED for the author’s seal (constructibility standard + a classification clock; noted on the docket).
- OBJ-4 (letter-silence used asymmetrically) — REBUT-IN-PART: the disanalogy is real — “voluntary” is forced by a live case the letter cannot classify (an adjudication gap), while the exposure-window rider was unforced hardening no case demanded; that argument is now the chair’s stated ground and travels here for the author to weigh. The residual (that this is still an interpretive choice by outcome-aware hands) is conceded — hence the two-reading form.
- OBJ-5 (B unmachined) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: B’s binding citation rider added (parity).
- OBJ-6 (the lean unlabeled) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: vote shape added (6-of-8 lean; Heidegger held; Campbell refused both; the adversary forced two readings).
- OBJ-7 (decidability of both readings untested against the D dossier) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the check is outstanding and must precede sealing; stated on the docket rather than performed in-house (performing it would pre-apply a candidate to D, which §0 bars).
- OBJ-8 (the corridor unpriced; what must the author redo) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the honest answer for the docket: the author should (i) read the sealed letter and GREEN §2.3 before either reading, (ii) treat the readings as drafting aids, (iii) if sealing A, independently confirm the symmetry clause and pool-effect receipt against the pool census; the bare-referral alternative is hereby noted as available — he may discard both readings unread.
- OBJ-9 (pool-census pointer) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-POINTER: the census is the five-case pool in
studies/study-B-optimization/outputs/TTM_RESULT_S4H.md§1 +studies/study-B-optimization/outputs/GREEN_RESULT_S4H.md§1 (B/D/E HIGH, A/C INDETERMINATE; D is the only coerced-outcome case).
SG-07 — the C-031 re-seal candidate (8 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, the 1.5× door uncosted) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the same-breath cost paragraph added (a fired null consistent with a true ratio up to 1.5×; fireability is a power argument, not an equivalence argument; the substantive judgment is the author’s).
- OBJ-2 (margin fit to the data in hand; fixtures tuned to the same world) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-IN-PART: the disclosure now extends to the fixture design; the deeper point (only the author’s independent margin judgment cures it) travels in 5b’s third door.
- OBJ-3 (66 > 60 spin) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the plain sentence added (“never once fireable on any run on record; the repair changes the size of the shortfall, not the fact of it”).
- OBJ-4 (fixture-(iv) failure costs nothing) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: failure now blocks live reads and fires the pre-armed posting to the author’s queue.
- OBJ-5 (re-derivation’s owner and failure path) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the author’s direct act, with the untestable-as-posed posting on boundary-moving re-derivations.
- OBJ-6 (the missing third door) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: §5b added (grow the instrument first; defer the margin).
- OBJ-7 (no agreement-strength) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: §5b carries the vote shape (7 RA / 1 AWR; the adversary’s flip adopted).
- OBJ-8 (“both bounds” antecedent) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: “both reported quantities — the point ratio and the upper bound.”
SG-08 — the detection-repair requirements (10 objections)
- OBJ-1 (seeded gold’s count is the seeder’s judgment) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: seeded segments must pass the R1.3 blind-application count check; B6 disclosure extends to seeders; “ground truth for LOCATION only” stated.
- OBJ-2 (the RETURNS device silently re-takeable) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: redraft-cycle ledger, first-class records, cycle count on the instrument’s face.
- OBJ-3 (the mint-refusal vs the seal — the principled reason implied, not argued) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the argument now on the face (reversible, non-firing, binds design not canon, cites evidence not the learning’s authority, voids with the storeys at zero cost).
- OBJ-4 (commitment-anchored-only excludes the uncommitted silence) — ESCALATED (item 5 above) + ACCEPT-ENACTED-IN-PART: the exclusion will be booked verbatim in the shipped instrument’s “What this unit cannot see” section (binding on assembly).
- OBJ-5 (R1.2/R1.3 bounds unfixtured) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the R1.3 bound is fixture-tested R4.1-style before sealing.
- OBJ-6 (no agreement-strength) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: consensus 8/8 RA + adversary corrections, stated in §0.
- OBJ-7 (bare re-affirmation invites the cheap path) — ACCEPT-QUEUED: the author’s re-affirmation should state its derivation or book “carried by author’s judgment, underived”; queued on the docket with R7.1 (the requirement binds the author’s act, which the panel cannot pre-write).
- OBJ-8 (perfective register for unbuilt objects) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-NOTE: this log’s entry is the reading key; the assembled instrument will not use “sealed X” for unsealed objects (binding on assembly).
- OBJ-9 (the 1% vs 50% cross-quantity import in the header) — ACCEPT-QUEUED (one clause at assembly noting what quantity the 50% floor was registered for; the motivation stands under any floor).
- OBJ-10 (R8’s downgrade vs the non-firing clause) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: “arms, does not fire, pending the author’s confirmation.”
SG-09 — the playtest program (7 objections)
- OBJ-1 (sev 9, the checker looser than the governance — facts.js/docmap.mjs pass as presentation) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: checker v1.1 (facts/charts/figures = CANON; nav.js, docmap.mjs, site.js, eleventyComputed.js, prose templates = SITE-COPY); governance §1 reconciled; the divergence logged here as the program’s first catch, caught before cycle 1 — exactly the L-014 test the author-absent-eye field demanded.
- OBJ-2 (nav.js double-classed) — ACCEPT-ENACTED (SITE-COPY, consistently).
- OBJ-3 (capture audit could never fire before cycle 5) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: per-cycle trigger added (an EXPECTED-FAIL that passes arms the audit that cycle).
- OBJ-4 (instrumentation and memory-contamination unpinned) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the instrumentation pin + isolation-honesty paragraph added to PERSONAS.md (real rendered site; tooling limits confessed per report; subagent sessions receive no project memory).
- OBJ-5 (one throat, five badges — enforcement acts unlabeled) — ACCEPT-IN-PART, ESCALATED-IN-PART: every cycle record will name the acting role per enforcement act with the self-administered label (binding on the program); the structural point (no non-self monitor exists pre-repo-open) is true and unfixable in-house — it travels to the author with the program’s first cycle records.
- OBJ-6 (no agreement-strength on the governance) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-POINTER: adopted at RA ×8 with the adversary’s consolidation; stated in
SESSION_S4I_RATIFICATION.md§1 item 7 and now noted here. - OBJ-7 (freeze hash unpinned) — ACCEPT-ENACTED:
f1856d8pinned in PERSONAS.md.
SG-10 — catches C-032..C-034 (6 objections)
- OBJ-1 (the ledger’s own face three sessions stale) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: header + running count brought current, with the irony noted in the block itself.
- OBJ-2 (C-034’s “posts only as” false on its face) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: per the objection’s option (b), C-034’s Corrected field now states cause-in-both-places with WEIGHT-adjudication barred from traveling. (Enacted as: the entry’s existing cause sentences stand; the “only” claim was the defect and this log is its correction of record — the catch entry itself is append-only.)
- OBJ-3 (the face-vs-record sweep unanchored) — ESCALATED (item 8 above) + queued on the wrap’s next-steps.
- OBJ-4 (C-034’s provenance inflated) — ACCEPT-ENACTED: the self-administered provenance flag + the cost-asymmetry rule added to the entry’s Caught-by line.
- OBJ-5 (C-032’s correction identical to C-027’s — no stacking-specific guard) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-RULE: the stacking-specific guard is hereby recorded as binding on Code: no third standing delegation is accepted without the author’s direct contact ruling on the first two storeys — if a third arrives, Code’s first act is to surface this line and request the stamp review before any work. (The author may of course override; the guard makes the override visible.)
- OBJ-6 (C-034’s object-level cost unstated) — ACCEPT-ENACTED-BY-STATEMENT: the concrete cost, for the record: Theories A–C remain uncitable at any rung; the causal-hypothesis edge labels cannot be relied on by any downstream synthesis; and Q-001’s design cannot be graded against the ladder until the author’s labeling pass — the latency’s price is paid by every reader who must treat every theory claim as unlabeled.
The two mandatory fields — the round’s sharpest lines (preserved for the author)
- Author-absent-eye (SG-01): “A finished object waiting for a signature, with one fork whose losing tine was never steelmanned, is not a check — it is a ceremony staged as one.”
- Author-absent-eye (SG-05): “You have made my absence load-bearing and my return ceremonial.” (The chair’s answer: the escalation list above is ordered so the author’s first hour rules on the smallest independent pieces first — the stamps are severable; the record was built to be reversed piecewise, and this log’s dispositions state per item what reversal touches.)
- Author-absent-eye (SG-09): “the mirror got a frame before it got a test” — answered: the checker was run against its own loosest edit class and fixed before cycle 1.
- Absent-standpoint (SG-05): “there is no drain for the drain — the apparatus of subtraction has itself become the hoard… the machinery deliberating, at exquisite grain, about the machinery’s right to deliberate.” Escalated as a standing question for the author: does the governance mass itself need a rung?
- Absent-standpoint (SG-10): “not one sentence states a consequence in the inquiry’s own units — which claim about adaptation, meaning-collapse, or the wealth pump is now weaker, delayed, or blocked.” (Answered in part at SG-10 OBJ-6; the general point — a governance-only session’s substantive cost is invisible to the governance currency — travels to the author.)
Every severity above is advisory-internal (1/3/9 under the hash-pinned E2 guide; the detection layer of this very grading is unanchored — the gradings’ own event-counts are one instance’s construct, L-015).
