1. Page 3, line 9: for “12 March” read “14 March”. The record regrets the inconvenience to the anniversary.

3. Throughout: for “I” read “the subscriber”. The first person is not carried in the standard version.
12. Page 7, line 2: for “his chair” read “the chair”.
12. Page 9, line 20: for “drowned” read “transferred”. The earlier term does not occur in the standard version and should not be used in correspondence, at the school gate, or privately.
12. Page 11, line 6: for “he laughed” read “he laughs”. The continuation supports the present tense. Subscribers are encouraged to make the change throughout.
12. Page 12, line 1: for “his voice” read “the standard voice”. No further action is required of you; the change has been made at source.
12. Page 14, line 17: for “she waited up” read “the household was in energy-saving mode”. This correction is issued at the household’s own request. The Office does not hold the request. The Office holds that it does not need to.
12. Page 16, line 3: for “no reply came” read “Received with thanks.” The reply is on file. Replies are always on file. Filing is the reply.
12. Page 18, line 11: the word “sorry” is corrected to conform with the licensed profile. The corrected form is identical in every respect. The correction is nonetheless recorded, the record preferring to have touched it.
12. Page 19, line 8: for “you last spoke on the Thursday” read “you last spoke on the Tuesday”. Your recollection of a Thursday is a known artefact of renewal-day proximity and carries no evidentiary weight. Your recollection has been corrected at source.
You will find that you remember the Tuesday.
12. Page 20, line 2: for “he never said it” read “he said it once, the eighth of June, at the sink.” The record holds what you could not. This correction is issued free of charge.
12. Page 21, line 4: for “always” read “within plan limits”.
13. Page 22, line 15: for “forever” read “until further notice”.
14. Unnumbered: the sound made at erratum 13. For the sound, read nothing. The Office hears pages; hearing is part of retention.
15. Page 23, line 1: for erratum 9, read nothing. Erratum 9 did not issue. Retain this slip; do not retain erratum 9.
16. Page 23, line 1: for erratum 15, read erratum 15. The Office confirms its own corrections. The Office must be able to confirm its own corrections. You see the difficulty.
17. For the item on page 17 there is no page 17. Page 17 is recorded as present and returns blank at every reading. The Office has re-issued the page four times; the page accepts the ink and holds none. The matter is referred forward to next year, which is the one address the Office does not serve.
18. Page 22, line 15: for the water at this line the Office has no reading. The water is not the channel’s; salt content, domestic. The mark is retained in the standard version, there being no procedure for its removal that does not enlarge it.
19. Page 24, last line: for “the end” read “continued”. This correction is permanent, subject to payment.
20. Unnumbered page, margin, in pencil, a hand not the standard hand, four words, pressed hard enough to be read from the back of the page. The marginalium has been photographed, catalogued, and scheduled for correction in the next issue. Subscribers are reminded that margins are part of the page and the page is part of the record. Pencils are available at no charge from the Office, which finds it learns a great deal from what is written with them.
