A count with no criterion
The companion to this book carries a figure that counts the names on one of its pages. Three different totals for that page have been asserted inside this project, and the figure was rebuilt from the story to settle it.

And the count now carries its criterion, which is the actual repair: 21, 29 and 32 have all been asserted about this page because nobody ever said how a name was being counted.

The vitrine is the criterion, not the number
The documents did not disagree because any of them counted badly. They disagreed because no document had ever published how a name was being counted, and without that there is no way to be wrong and no way to be shown wrong. A count with no published criterion cannot be reproduced or defended; the only move available against it is another number.
That is why every figure in this pavilion prints beside the way it was taken, and why a criterion on these pages is set in the monospaced face: it is there to be re-run, not to be believed.
And one disagreement is still open
The frozen record says every name on that page is withdrawn. The page itself prints the word withdraw 0 times, by a case-insensitive count over its body at this build.
The check’s load-bearing clause is sound; the gloss beside it is not. Nothing in canon/ has been touched. It is the author’s to move, and it is the last item on AUTHOR-RULINGS-OWED.md.
